“How I Turned My Free Time into Money with Canva (Beginner Story + Real Steps)”
How I Turned My Free Time into Money by Learning Canva (And You Can Too!)
Have you ever thought… “I want to earn money, but I don’t know any skills”?
Well, I was there too.
Hi, I’m Siddhi — a college student juggling studies, family, and big dreams. I always wanted to be independent and earn, but had zero idea where to start I had no budget. No expert training. Just a phone, internet, and a desire to learn.
One day, while watching YouTube, I came across Canva – a free design tool. I was curious. Could I really design something useful?
So I tried.
π¨ First, I made a YouTube thumbnail.
π Then a Pinterest pin.
π Then a simple ebook cover.
At first, it was fun. Then, it became a skill.
And now? It’s slowly becoming my source of income.
π‘ Here’s how I started from zero and now earn with Canva:
1. Learn for Free
I started with YouTube tutorials. I watched 10-minute videos, practiced them immediately, and kept repeating.
2. Practice Daily
Every day I opened Canva and made one thing – a post, a reel cover, a business card, or a T-shirt design for Redbubble.
3. Started Freelancing
I joined Fiverr and added my services – “I will design YouTube thumbnails” and “I will create Pinterest pins”.
I didn’t get orders instantly. But I kept sharing my designs on Pinterest and my friends noticed.
